01 What Antena Does
Antena lets you write journal entries and receive generated paintings, daily insights, and weekly letters. To provide those features, Antena stores your writing and generated outputs in cloud systems and processes relevant content through AI and infrastructure providers.
Antena is not a medical device, healthcare provider, therapist, or crisis service.
02 Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Antena, we may collect:
- account information such as Firebase identifiers, preview-account state, email sign-in state, sign-in provider details, email address, and name if provided by Apple or Google;
- journal and reflection content, including entries, draft text, gratitude responses, daily insights, weekly letters, generated paintings, titles, dates, and related metadata;
- subscription information such as RevenueCat, App Store, and Stripe entitlement or billing state, product identifiers, renewal or expiration state, restore state, and limited transaction metadata;
- device, attribution, and technical information such as app version, platform metadata, timezone or locale settings, generated installation identifiers, App Tracking Transparency status, advertising identifiers such as IDFA where you allow tracking through iOS, crash data, performance data, and security logs;
- privacy-screened product interaction data used to understand onboarding, journaling, subscription, attribution, campaign measurement, and reliability flows;
- website analytics information, if you allow analytics on the website, such as page views, referral source, approximate location, device/browser information, and App Store download clicks;
- support information you choose to send us.
Antena does not collect precise GPS location, contacts, HealthKit data, microphone recordings, camera data, or biometric data for the current launch app.
03 Cloud Storage
Antena uses cloud storage because generated insights, paintings, weekly letters, account linking, subscription access, and recovery require backend systems.
Your reflections are stored in trusted cloud systems so Antena can sync your journal, restore your account, and create the paintings, insights, and weekly letters you ask for. We protect your data with encryption in transit, provider-managed encryption at rest where supported, access controls, and security rules.
Antena is not currently end-to-end encrypted. This means Antena's systems need to be able to process the relevant parts of your writing in order to provide the product experience.
04 How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide and operate Antena;
- create, store, and show your journal entries, paintings, daily insights, and weekly letters;
- personalize reflective outputs based on your writing history;
- manage subscriptions, restores, account linking, and access control;
- prevent duplicate, abusive, or excessive generation requests;
- respond to support requests;
- debug crashes, monitor reliability, improve the product, measure which ads and channels bring people to Antena and lead to subscriptions, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your journal entries for advertising targeting, and journal content is not sent to analytics or attribution tools.
05 AI Processing
Antena uses trusted AI service providers to create reflective and visual outputs from your writing. Depending on the feature and the providers active in production, this may include providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
To create these outputs, Antena sends only the content reasonably needed for the feature you request. This may include your current entry and limited relevant Antena context. In normal generation requests, we do not intentionally send your email address or name to AI providers.
Your journal entries are not used for advertising targeting or sent to analytics tools. Antena does not use your personal journal content to train AI models for other users. For production AI services, we use commercial/API configurations designed to keep customer content out of general model training by default.
AI outputs may be incomplete, unexpected, or mistaken. They are provided for personal reflection and creative use, not professional advice.
06 Analytics, Attribution, and Diagnostics
Antena measures app flow, reliability, and product usage, not the private contents of your journal. Journal text, generated insight text, weekly letter text, painting titles, image URLs, email addresses, names, and raw user IDs are not sent to analytics event properties.
Antena uses attribution and subscription measurement tools to understand which ads, campaigns, and channels bring people to Antena and lead to subscriptions. If you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, these tools may use limited device and app activity data, including advertising identifiers such as IDFA, for ad attribution and campaign measurement. If you deny tracking or disable it later in iOS Settings, Antena still works, and attribution relies on non-IDFA or aggregate methods where available.
RevenueCat may send limited subscription event data and attribution identifiers to AppsFlyer so subscription starts, renewals, and related subscription events can be measured in AppsFlyer and connected advertising platforms. These subscription events do not include journal content.
On the website, Antena uses Google Analytics only after you allow analytics. Website analytics help us understand visits, referral sources, device/browser context, and App Store download clicks. You can decline analytics when the banner appears.
Current launch tooling may include PostHog for screened product events, Firebase Crashlytics for diagnostics, AppsFlyer for install attribution and advertising measurement, RevenueCat for subscriptions and subscription attribution, Stripe for web checkout, Resend for transactional email, Meta and TikTok advertising integrations through AppsFlyer, Firebase, Google Analytics for website analytics, and Google Cloud logs.
07 Service Providers
We use service providers for authentication, database and storage, backend hosting, subscription management, payment processing, transactional email, AI generation, analytics, attribution, crash reporting, security monitoring, and Apple App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, and subscription management.
08 Subscriptions and Refund Context
Purchases may be handled through Apple's in-app purchase system or Stripe Checkout. RevenueCat helps Antena manage subscription entitlements and access. We receive limited subscription, payment, and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore access. If you request a refund through Apple, Apple and RevenueCat may process subscription, entitlement, and app-consumption context needed to help Apple evaluate the refund request. For web purchases, Stripe processes payment information and Antena support handles billing questions by email.
09 On-Device Storage
Antena may keep limited information on your device so the app works smoothly, including settings, generated installation identifiers, cached images, and temporary journal drafts.
Drafts are stored using iOS file protection. Antena does not keep an unlimited local copy of your cloud journal database. Signing out or deleting an account clears local drafts and image-cache data controlled by Antena.
If you choose to save or share a painting, Apple's system share sheet or Photos flow may handle that action. Antena does not read your photo library for the current launch app.
10 Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Antena, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
You can delete your Antena account in the app. Account deletion is designed to remove your live Antena profile, journal entries, paintings, subscription claim records, pending-generation records, and user-linked operational records from active product systems. Some provider logs, backups, security records, and accounting records may remain for a limited period where required or technically necessary.
Deleting your Antena account does not cancel an active subscription. Apple subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple Subscriptions. Web subscriptions purchased through Stripe Checkout are cancelled by contacting hello@antenajournal.com with the checkout email.
11 Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. You can control Apple's tracking permission for Antena in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you do not allow tracking, Antena remains usable, but ad attribution and campaign measurement may be less precise. To ask a privacy question or exercise rights, contact hello@antenajournal.com.
12 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure. Because Antena is an AI-powered cloud product, the most honest privacy position is care, minimization, and transparency rather than absolute privacy promises.
13 International Processing
Antena may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including countries where our service providers operate.
14 Children
Antena is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone under the minimum age required in their country to use online services without parental consent.
15 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
